Behind every piece of Montesino Jewellery, there is a story. The story of an idea taking shape — first in the mind, then on paper, then in the hands.
It all starts with an intention. An image, an emotion, a symbol that one wants to capture. This intention is translated into sketches — quick drafts, then more precise drawings that begin to define proportions, volumes, and details.
Then comes the sculpting phase. In wax or clay, the form takes on its three-dimensional reality for the first time. This is the most free and most demanding moment: every curve must be just right, every volume must be balanced.
The sculpture is then molded and cast in the chosen metal — sterling silver, brass, or other. The molten metal takes the place of the wax in the mold, and the raw piece emerges for the first time.
Then begins a long process of finishing: filing, polishing, sanding. Imperfections are removed, details are refined, the luster of the metal is revealed. For some pieces, a patina is applied to create effects of shadow and depth.
The final result is a unique object — not in the commercial sense of the term, but in the true sense: a piece that bears the traces of the human work that created it.
